Step 2 - IC Sockets
Now put in the IC sockets and solder them. I'd recommend first soldering only two pins on diagonally
opposed edges of each socket, then check that the socket is still firmly lying flat on the board, and correct
of necessary. Once you have soldered more than two pins it is virtually impossible to make changes
without specialized desoldering equipment. Also, make sure the notch (indicating pin 1 of the IC) is on the
correct side (right side in the picture for all sockets) - the silkscreen outline shows the notch as well.
