SoundCreator

SoundCreator is a program that allows you create your own sounds for PocketSynth and Strummer, By adjusting a few simple settings you can create a wide range of of sounds and then create a set of wave files that can be used directly in PocketSynth or Strummer. If you always wanted some space sound, or you were missing a solid base line for your compositions, this is your tool. The sound files that are generated work also for arrangements with FourTrack.

SoundCreator will generate an additional octave of single notes (below the one usually used by Strummer), which you can use to add a bass sound to your compositions.

SoundCreator runs on all WindowsCE devices (HPC, HPC Pro, PPC, PocketPC). You need the runtime module of PocketC.

Here's a screen shot of what SoundCreator looks like on a HPC:

First you set a couple of parameters that will affect your sound (waveform, envelope, vibrato and modulation, total duration). Then you can choose to create a single sound file (single note or different chords), ar the full set used by Strummer. Creating single sound files is very useful to check the sound of your current settings. Once you are satisfied with your results, create the full set (this may take a while).

If you want to know how the results can sound, here are some sound examples.
