Strummer - The Guitar in Your Pocket

Awarded 4 cows (  ) at Tucows.com

Welcome to Strummer, the guitar in your pocket!

Strummer is a program that lets you write and play great guitar songs on your PPC or HPC. You can

  • Play guitar chords and single notes (it's a real guitar (mine...) that you hear playing)
  • Define, edit, save, and load strumming patterns and picking patterns (arpeggios) and create pattern libraries
  • Record and edit a song using these patterns, copy/cut/paste/delete blocks within the song, and transpose a part or all to a different key with just a few clicks
  • Play the song with different speeds
  • Load and save your masterpieces
It is easy to use, and no musical knowledge is necessary (though knowledge never hurts :-) A number of song examples is provided to get you started.

Strummer runs on all PPC, HPC, and HPC Pro devices. You need the runtime module of PocketC (Version 2.0).

Strummer comes with an integrated installer (thanks to Ian Ferguson for his help in that matter!). Simply extract the file Setup.exe from the zip-file onto your harddisk and start it. It will download and install all necessary files on your PPC or HPC, and also create an entry in the "Start" menu.

For feedback, suggestions, questions, bug reports, and how to register Strummer contact PDAMusician.

Have fun!
